Postpartum Care
Postpartum is a beautiful time where you transition into your growing family. It can be full of joys and tears, which is why you deserve midwifery care not just during pregnancy, but after baby comes as well.
After birthing at the birth center, you will receive:

Visit from CNM or RN at 24-28 hours

2 week postpartum visit at the birth center

6 week postpartum visit at the birth center

Postpartum depression & anxiety screening

Newborn assessment and ongoing evaluation

Filing of the birth certificate

Newborn metabolic screening

Newborn hearing & congenital heart defect screening

Lactation visit 3-5 days after birth

Your CNM is always a text or call away! Care after birth is magnified, not reduced. We must circle around our new mothers & families possibly even more so than in pregnancy!
