The Full Story

Texas Family Birth & Wellness

A dream is a wish...

The idea of a birth center in Prosper, TX really came about after Kristen kept hearing from women in her community about their desire for community-based midwifery care. As Kristen looked for options around her, she realized there wasn't a midwife-led birth center practice anywhere north of Hwy 380! And so she realized two things:

1. Women around her were being denied the right to decide the prenatal care path that was right for them

AND

2. If the right place for these women didn't exist...then Kristen would have to build it. From the ground up.

And thus was born Texas Family Birth & Wellness

Mission:

To serve our community, empower women and families to birth in their own way, and provide the highest standard of evidence-based midwifery care.

Vision:

To actively pursue relationships with families in our community in order to provide the safest and most compassionate midwifery care in North Texas.

At this time, Texas Family Birth & Wellness does not accept TOLAC or VBAC clients but we are happy to refer to midwives in the area who do!
