Laura Silvas, RN, IBCLC
About Laura
Laura is our AMAZING Lactation Consultant on staff at Texas Family Birth & Wellness. She has a heart to help mamas reach their breastfeeding goals! She met Kristen while Kristen was doing her Midwifery clinicals in East Texas. Laura was a Registered Nurse and showed Kristen a thing or two on the Labor & Delivery unit! But more than that, Laura always impressed Kristen with her compassionate care, clinical judgment, and expert knowledge in pregnancy and lactation.

Laura's nursing career has spanned many years as a Registered Nurse, helping babies into the world on Labor & Delivery units. After moving to the DFW area, Laura's passion for breastfeeding brought her to a new adventure: starting her own Lactation business, Latching with Laura! Partnering with TFBW, Laura brings her witty and joyful spirit to each consult and is prepared to help each client reach their breastfeeding goals. She loves connecting with clients on a personal level and when working with Laura, you know you'll walk away feeling loved by a dear friend, as well as a breastfeeding expert!

On her off time, Laura enjoys gardening and being outside with her family. She is a devoted wife and mother to two incredible boys! She can often be found around the DFW area on new adventures with her kiddos or stopping by local coffee shops to try the newest coffee!
